Iubesc limba română
Iubesc limba română,
e slova cu care m-am născut,
o știu, citesc, e cea care alină
îmi este reazăm bun, plăcut.
E cea în care am aflat
de-un strămoșesc trecut
ce a netezit spre acest prezent
și-i demnă de un viitor
cât mai frumos, decent.
Cântec, dor și graiul pâinii
le găsesc mereu în ea
căci la baza rădăcinii
ei, foc ce arde, apă vie
întrețin o armonie:
ale noastre adevăruri
scrise-n piatră și în ceruri.
Frumoasa mea, limba română
Cu tine am crescut
frumoasa mea cu slove
românești; de la început
cu tine am știut de snoave
și povești și de acele brave
suflete ce vitejește au luptat
pentru credință și neamul românesc.
Astfel, au biruit și au deșteptat
în noi un cuget treaz, adevărat,
de român, ca limba română
să fie un orizont deschis, deziderat:
căci temelia ta este lumină,
frumoasa mea – Limba Română !
